Hoi An is a very picturesque city made up of ancient homes, pagodas and temples. Formerly recognised by Unesco in 1999 as a World Heritage Site it has become a popular destination for tourists.
Once a trading port the Thu Bon Rivers winds its way through the city past rundown old buildings and into the South China Sea.
